Info: Enhance your expertise in specification writing. Our January Program will feature a panel discussion on the basics of writing good specifications and how CSI is a valuable resource when creating your specifications. The speakers of this Program, all specification writers and members of the Indianapolis Chapter CSI, will include Ivette Bruns, CSI, CCS, SCIP, Joseph McGuire, FCSI, CCS, SCIP, and Chuck Thompson, CSI, CCS, with Jack P. Morgan, CSI, CCS, CCCA, MAI, AIA, as moderator. Each panelist will examine the three parts of a specification section and explain how they approach each part.

Ivette Bruns, CSI, CCS, owns Edifico Specifications and has prepared numerous specifications for many clients including the new Indianapolis Airport Terminal. She writes articles on preparing good specifications in our Chapter Newsletter and in other publications.

Joseph McGuire, FCSI, CCS, co-owns McGuire Architects and has specialized in preparing numerous specifications for many clients. A member of the Indianapolis Chapter CSI's Certification Committee, has participated in classes for the Construction Document Technologist (CDT) and Certified Construction Specifier (CCS). Joe is also a Fellow and an Honorary Member in CSI.

Chuck Thompson, CSI, CCS, is the Technical Manager for Schmidt Associates Architects. He has written specifications for many years for architectural firms in Indianapolis. Chair of the Indianapolis Chapter CSI's Certification Committee, has led classes for the Construction Document Technologist (CDT) and Certified Construction Specifier (CCS).

Jack Morgan, CSI, CCS, CCCA, MAI, AIA, owns his own architectural firm. A member of the Indianapolis Chapter Certification Committee has participated in classes for the Construction Document Technologist (CDT) and Certified Construction Specifier (CCS). Writes a monthly Certification Quiz in the chapter newsletter to challenge all in keeping up with various skills in preparing specifications and other aspects of certification.
